This fall, The Tuition Exchange and the Council of Independent Colleges (CIC) announced a new partnership that will simplify the scholarship application process for families and significantly streamline administration of TE and CIC-TEP Scholarships for TE Liaison Officers (TELOs) at schools that participate in both exchange programs.

What Does This Mean for Families?

Beginning with the 2027-2028 award year, students seeking consideration for CIC-TEP and TE Scholarships will only have to submit one application, the TE EZ-Application, which opens July 1, 2026 at tuitionexchange.org. Current CIC-TEP scholarship recipients will receive TE account and application instructions in late spring. Additionally, CIC-TEP families will be able to search for both TE and CIC-TEP schools via the School Search function beginning next spring.

What Does This Mean for TELOs?

TELOs at schools that do not participate in the CIC-TEP program will encounter no changes.

TELOs at schools that participate in both TE and CIC-TEP will be able to use the TELO system to administer TE and CIC-TEP scholarships!
